Jason Moran

Jason Moran is a jazz pianist and composer who from Houston, TX. After switching his focus from classical music to jazz at the age of 13, he honed in on his own avant garde-inspired sound and released his debut album as bandleader, Soundtrack to Human Motion, in 1999. On top of his work as a sideman with various artists, such as Charles Lloyd and Greg Osby, he continues to build his repertoire as a leader, with albums like 2006's Artist in Residence and Ten from 2010.
