Written by Terrence Rattigan and based on a real life murder trial of Alma Rattenbury, who was charged with being a co-conspirator, along with her 18 year old lover, to the murder of her husband. The play focuses on the trial and particularly the jury leader Edith, a sexually repressed woman that finds far more issue in Rattenbury seducing an 18 year old than committing the murder of her husband. Directed by Thea Sharrock, the play is a revival of the original production to honor the 100 year anniversary of Rattigan's birth.
