Robert Hood

Robert Hood is a DJ from Detroit who helped pioneer the city's well-known techno sound. Focusing on soul and experimentation over flash and pomp, Hood was able to distinguish himself apart from the myriad of up and coming DJs emerging in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Hood released his debut LP, Internal Empire, in 1994 and has since maintained a regular album output in addition to keeping a busy performance schedule--helping establish him as one of the more revered figures of the modern electronic dance music community.
