In 2005, Patrick Henry and Justin Greczyn - two individuals with a deep affection for heavy metal and pirates of yesteryear - met at a Red Lobster restaurant and discovered they shared similar passions. The two guys decided to form a metal band that would pull heavily from a pirate aesthetic. The group, fittingly dubbed Swashbuckle, makes an eclectic style of hardcore rock music and it manages to interject respectable amounts of seafaring scallywag lightheartedness into its music. And while the group's sound is extremely serious, almost troublesome, sounding, the band deserves to be taken with a grain of salt - especially because all the members of the group wear ridiculous pirate costumes while performing.
