Mago De Oz

Formed in Madrid in 1989, Mago de Oz, or The Wizard of Oz, began making Celtic inspired Metal with lyrics sung in Spanish. The interesting combination of musical styles initially seemed to scare fans off, but by the mid 90s the six-piece found moderate success. Always dressed in costume and resembling a group of gothic mariachi pirates, the band certainly puts on an interesting show.
