Hailing from Sweden, Magnus Uggla is a singer/songwriter who creates pop music with heavy British rock influences. He was so inspired by glam and art rock that his debut album, 1975's Om Bobbo Viking, is an interpretation of David Bowie's iconic album, The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders from Mars. Uggla saw his breakthrough into mainstream audiences with his 1977 record, Va ska man ta livet av sig för när man ändå inte får höra snacket efteråt, which is often referred to as the first Swedish punk rock album. Over the years he developed a reputation for his simple compositions and satirical lyrics, as he often took shots at his own musical peers.
