Stars (band)

Falling under the "intelligent pop" genre thanks to its incorporation of historical references and diverse musical styles, the Canadian outfit Stars crafts lush tracks that highlight vocalist Amy Millan's songbird style. The group has been releasing albums since 2001 and has a respectable following in Canada, despite being considered somewhat of an art house band in the U.S.. Nevertheless, the band's ever evolving sound has landed its music a place on the soundtrack of TV shows like The Vampire Diaries, Gossip Girl, The O.C., and Chuck, and the film Like Crazy.
