Einsturzende Neubauten

Experimental music is often a genre that gets overlooked by most music listeners. The abstract approach to composition that most experimental musicians undertake is almost contradictory to the view of sonic conception that the majority of popular musicians possess. This is part of the reason why it is extremely rare for an experimental musician/band to break into the mainstream. But musicians who employ an avant-garde notion of how music should sound don't often care about fame and the pearls that go along with it. This is why the German abstract rock group Einsturzende Neubauten is never going to have a large audience or a fan base that listens to commercial radio and watches big budget action movies. But this doesn't deter the German band from making some extremely original and thought provoking music that's rewarding to listen to and even more enjoyable to watch being performed in a live setting.
