A good deal of Central and South American countries have been plagued by civil strife and social unrest. It comes as no surprise, then, that a group that sings about these countries politics and cultural contention is touted as somewhat of a messenger of forthright political thinking and grassroots problem solving. This band is Desorden Publico and it plays a unique blend of Latin rock, ska and English two-tone. Most, if not all, of the Venezuelan group's lyrics are charged with humanistic stories of the common man championing over corrupt government officials.
