If someone unfamiliar with the work of German medieval metal band Corvus Corax was to stumble across the group performing, he might think that what he witnesses is more of a ritualistic pagan ceremony than a rock concert. The group typically performs in loincloths, feather boas, strange costumes and heathen style masks which all combine to give the group a very unique, but strange, aesthetic. The band got its start in 1989 and after the group honed its bagpipe-rich sound as well as its intense pyrotechnic stage show, the band somehow managed to win audiences over with its outlandish approach to music composition and its perplexing appearance.
