Andres Calamaro

Not many living outside of Argentina know how lively the South American country's music scene is. Argentina has been a breeding ground musicians of diverse genres. One champion of the Argentinian music scene is the singer/songwriter Andres Calamaro. He got his start performing salsa music on the streets of Buenos Aires with a classical guitar when he was still a teenager. After getting noticed by a few other musicians, he was invited to form a band and act as primary songwriter. Moving from group to group and making a name for himself as the years progressed, Calamaro garnered a reputation for himself as an extremely talented musician and one of the few world renowned songwriters to call Argentina home.
