Dubbed the French Motörhead, Vulcain is a heavy metal band active from 1981 to 1998. Thrown into the limelight after winning a competition, the band signed to Ebony records and gained notoriety as speedily as its speed metal. After a hit debut album, however, the band's subsequent albums weren't met with much success and each new album seemed to bring about a lineup change. Vulcain finally broke up in 1998, but in 2010 it announced on its Myspace page that it would be reuniting to play Hellfest and to tour.
