California-based outfit Tomahawk is an alternative rock project that was formed in 2000. Following the breakup of Faith No More in 1998, front man Mike Patton formed his own label, called Ipecac Recordings, and began jamming with other musicians including Duane Denison. Patton and Denison began recording together and emerged with Tomahawk, an eponymous release for their new project, in 2001. With Patton already neck deep in the alternative rock/metal scene, the band released a second album and immediately set out to tour the US, Australia, Europe and Japan, collecting an international audience along the way. Tomahawk released its fourth studio album Oddfellows, in 2013.
