Legendary American blues and rock musician, singer/songwriter Leslie West has been performing and recording in various outfits since 1965. He came out of the prolific era of music in 1960s and '70s New York City in a band called The Vagrants, working with some of the musicians and producers associated with rock legend Cream. West soon left The Vagrants to form Mountain, the hard rock band with which he achieved his most mainstream success. Mountain broke up and re-formed several times around the mid '70s, as West and its other members went on to pursue solo careers. However, Mountain reunited in 1985 and have continued to record and tour. West is a noted guitarist of the American pop musical canon, and a wizened performer after nearly four decades active in the music business.
