The Danse Society is a post punk band that formed in 1980. Based in Barnsley, England the band takes the darkest elements of Gothic rock and the catchiest elements of synthpop to craft its distinctive sound. From its 1982 debut Seduction to 2015's VI, the group has managed to avoid the fickle trends of the music scene by staying true to its crossover style.
