The two members of the Norwegian electronic act Röyksopp are a prime example of musicians who have evolved with technology. As adolescents, the duo experimented with electronic instruments and as various music making devices debuted, the two Norwegians took note and attempted to create sounds that had never been made before. When Norway's underground electronic scene was blossoming in the 1990s, both members of Röyksopp were submerged in the various musical styles--absorbing and learning as many techniques as possible. When the two started producing music under the name Röyksopp, they found that technology had finally caught up with them and they were free to create a style of music they had been envisioning since they were youths.
