The Scandinavian psych-rock outfit Kandy Kolored Tangerine sounds like a modernistic take on erstwhile psychedelic music that was birthed from its drug infused heyday in the 60s. Named after American journalist/novelist Tom Wolfe's first collection of essays about various niches of American culture, Kandy Kolored Tangerine manages to sound extremely relevant in today's ever-changing music scene, despite sounding like a nostalgic throwback to the glory days of yesteryear.
