Jan Jelinek is a German electronic musician known for founding the record label Faitiche. Over the course of his career, his brand of music has become known for using singular sources instead of conventional instruments to produce sounds, which are then warbled beyond identification. His first studio album Personal Rock was released in 1999 under the name Gramm, a pseudonym retained for glitch and dub-techno music. His second album Loop-Finding-Jazz-Records, released in 2001, featured jazz progressions sampled from tunes from the '60s and '70s and was met with critical acclaim. Apart from his studio projects, Jelinek has played at many esteemed electronic music festivals in Europe. 1+3+1 (Triosk Meets Jan Jelinek), Kosmischer Pitch and Tierbeobachtungen are some of the other albums in his impressive repertoire.
