With its origins in lead singer Andy LePlegua's native Norway, Combichrist delivers a stateside collision of electronic, metal and industrial sounds, the result of which has been rattling the hardcore and metal scene since the group's formation in 2003. The band's genre can be described as aggrotech--an innovation that emerged out of the electro-industrial movement-- and features grinding, layered electronic beats and dark lyrical structures. Its fierce, thrashing style has attracted major attention in the underground scene as Combichrist continues to tour internationally and release a wide variety of recordings.
