Steve Knightly and Phil Beer - the two multi-instrumentalist songwriters behind the English roots folk act Show of Hands - have been making music together since they were children. The duo's frenetic chemistry was apparently early on and the two realized the potential of their unified song writing. While the two were still teenagers, they started playing in pubs around England and even went on a slight tour of Sweden. What this gigging taught the young musicians was the need to strive for perfection at every turn. The duo has since honed its stage show and is considered a road worn veteran - capable of dishing out some serious instrumental prowess at every tour stop.
