Opeth

Acoustic guitars and vocal harmonies aren't typically found in death metal songs. By adding these foreign elements into hard rock songs, however, the Swedish heavy metal band Opeth has managed to pioneer an original sound while carving out a reputation for itself as one of the more interesting modern hard rock bands. Though the group has been making music together since the early 1990s, it wasn't till the 2000s that the group achieved notoriety amid followers of various metal genres.
