For English pop singer Joe Longthorne, his diagnosis of cancer in 1989 was some what of a blessing in disguise. It forced him to spend a good amount of time on the road, performing and raising money for his costly treatments. Also, when the public heard about his debilitating ailment, they donated money and genuinely cared about what happened to the singer. While Longthorne is virtually cured of his affliction, he still tours and causes riots of joy wherever he decides to perform.
