Du Blonde

Hailed for her live spectacles, Beth Jeans Houghton is an indie folk singer/songwriter from Newcastle upon Tyne, England. With a sound often described as gentle anti-folk music, Houghton dips into the realms of psychedelic pop, glam rock and freak folk with a mystical air to her style and delivery. Since her 2008 debut, titled EP, she signed with Static Caravan Records and began earning steady critical acclaim in the UK before relocating to Los Angeles where she began performing with a live band under the name Beth Jeans Houghton & the Hooves of Destiny. Houghton released her first full-length album Yours, Truly, Cellophane Nose, in 2012 with Mute Records. In 2014, Houghton started to perform under the name Du Blonde.
