With a flamboyant look and an androgynous personal aesthetic, Adam Lambert managed to nap the runner-up spot on the reality television show American Idol. Even though he didn't win first place the pop singer has gone on to receive much media attention (mainly for his nontraditional and slightly uncouth style of performing) and almost overshadow the actual winner of American Idol.
