The Saint James Society

The Saint James Society is a psychedelic garage rock outfit from Austin, Texas, that weaves elements of blues rock and post punk into a western aesthetic to create a sound it describes as Pentecostal desert glam. The band quickly found an audience in the Austin music scene, standing apart from the growing number of neo-psychedelic bands with the tandem vocal stylings of Elza Burkart and Candice Bertalan supporting the lead vocals of front man and bassist Brandon Burkart. The Saint James Society released its eponymous debut EP in 2012, followed by its first full-length album Bab(a/y)lon Rising, in 2013.
