SISU

SISU is a group based out of Los Angeles that is more or less a solo project of Dum Dum Girls drummer Sandra Vu. Founded in 2008, during a period of downtime with the Dum Dums, Vu started writing songs on her own as a form of much needed creative expression. Unfettered by the confines of groupthink, Vu has been able to dictate the flow and pacing of SISU's music--singing and playing every instrument herself. Though Vu has brought aboard a couple hired guns to round out SISU's shapely sonic aesthetic during live performances, Vu has nevertheless managed to remain the vigilant centerpiece of the group's music.
