Gappy Ranks

Jacob Lee Williams, better known as Gappy Ranks, is a UK-based reggae artist who specializes in modern dancehall. The London vocalist is half-Dominican and half-Jamaican, which has seemingly made him very attuned to his Caribbean heritage and its musical history. Working with producers and collaborators such as Kray Twinz and Twista, he creates a bouncy and sunny version of dancehall that combines the feel of the genre's 1990s mainstream heyday with modern production values. He released his debut album in 2010, entitled Put the Stereo On, and has been consistently touring in support of his feel good reggae style ever since.
