With a band history that's been met with unexpected tragedy, Early Graves has managed to persevere its legacy--continuing to make its hardcore-infused version of thrash metal. The group formed in 2008 in the San Francisco Bay Area, quickly establishing itself as a name to watch thanks to its unrelenting hardcore energy and strong songwriting. In 2010, however, the band was stunned with the loss of Makh Daniels, its lead singer, who died in a van accident whilst on tour. After a year long hiatus, the group decided to carry on, with John Strachan taking over on vocals. With its catalog now being released via Southern Lord and a 2012 appearance at South By Southwest lined up, things seem to be deservedly looking up for Early Graves.
