Roberts first rose to fame through the pop group, Girls Aloud, who were created
as part of the television show Popstars: The Rivals. As a member of Girls Aloud,
Nicola Roberts has been successful in achieving 20 consecutive UK top ten
singles, two UK number one albums, and four nominations for BRIT Awards,
winning Best Single for "The Promise". In 2011, she released her
electronica-influenced solo album, “Cinderella’s Eyes”, working with producers
such as Dragonette, Diplo and Joseph Mount. The album went on to receive
critical acclaim from much of the British music press.
