Drake

Canadian born rapper Drake had an impressive rise to fame shortly after he released his first mix tape in 2006. The remixes caught the ears of high profile artists like Kanye West, Eminem, Lil Wayne as well as Jay-Z, and they were immediately smitten by Drake's smooth approach to hip hop. Though the Canadian's music is well polished and clearly a result of the modern music scene, there are traces of old school rap and hip hop that shine forth at spastic intervals.
