Ali B is a rapper from The Netherlands who got his start in 1999 before earning recognition as the first Moroccan-Dutch artist to rise to fame within Dutch pop culture. After releasing his debut album, Ali B vertelt het leven van de straat, in 2004, he collected a dedicated fan base with his stories of growing up in East Amsterdam. Ali B released his third album Ali B Geeft Antwoord, in 2011, the same year he became the host of the popular Dutch television program Ali B op volle toeren, which brings together two artists of different genres to create remixes or cover versions of their own songs.
