Guillaume Dufay

Dufay was a Franco-Flemish composer from the 15th century. Dufay's compositions were incredibly popular throughout Europe, despite the fact that his life predated printing by several decades. He wrote music in all of the popular genres of the period, including Masses, motets, Magnificats and hymns. Dufay traveled widely throughout his life, occupying different positions in the church, all of which contributed to his musicality. He is considered one of the most important composers of the Renaissance and Middle Ages.
