Mr. Little Jeans

Monica Birkenes, who performs and releases music under her Mr. Little Jeans guise, is a Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter who blends haunting vocals with bright, synthpop instrumentals to create a unique style of music that's well suited for Southern California's sprawling music scene. Born and raised in the coastal town of Grimstad, Norway, Scandinavia's rich pop history has undoubtedly played an integral part in Birkenes musical rearing. Birkenes released her debut LP, Pocketknife, in 2014 and the album's strong electropop sonic aesthetic has resonated well with fans of other Northern European chanteuses like Robyn and Lykke Li.
