Written by Simon Gray, The Late Middle Class is a revealing look at a boy growing up in 1950s London. While beginning to take music lessons, a child feels torn between his dreamy and desperate mother, Celia and his overworked father Charles. The play gives an interesting look at middle class 1950s culture of restraint and propriety.
