As Austrian-born composer Arnold Schoenberg wrote more and more he began to take on a style that was all his own. His incorporation of atonality and harmony development led Schoenberg to an innovative style that was regarded as expressionist art. His work was viewed as degenerate art by the Nazi party and after being thought of as an indigent, Schoenberg decided to move to America where he continued to push the boundaries of what was initially perceived possible within the confines of classical music.
