Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov

Several of Russian composer Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's impressive orchestrations are considered to be prime examples of classical music. His ability to write pieces that are both thematically dark and tonally bright, brought the composer great fame during his life time and the Russian's legacy has been upheld by many modern conductors who are eager to perform his pieces with their orchestras.
