Massive Attack

Massive Attack is a duo from Bristol, England, that is known as the progenitor of the trip-hop genre with its dark beats, cinematic ambiance and perfectly spliced hip-hop samples. After forming in 1988 and releasing a few albums to little acclaim, the group began focusing more on remixes and scoring films. Despite its lack of huge record sales, Massive Attack still was one of the largest influences on the 1990s electronic music scene.
