Of Monsters and Men

After Icelandic six-piece folk outfit Of Monsters and Men won its home country's noted battle of the bands competition, Músíktilraunir, the group was catapulted to the forefront of the Scandinavian music scene. With a lush sound that pulls heavily from Iceland's rich musical history, Of Monsters and Men has managed to capitalize on the attention it has received, and in 2011, the band released its debut EP, Into the Woods, to widespread critical acclaim.
