Growing up in a rural village in Norway that rarely came in contact with modern styles of music, Todd Terje initially got his start in music studying the piano at a local conservatory. After realizing that jazz piano wasn't taught much, Terje decided to study physics at the University of Oslo. Here he came in contact with the electronic music scene, eventually meeting up with prominent Oslo producer Prins Thomas. With a style that ranges from Italo disco to euro house and manages to be highly danceable and quirky at the same time, Terje quickly built up a following. Barely in his mid-20s, Terje has become one of the younger presences on the international club scene.
