Neon Neon is music duo comprised of American producer Boom Bip and English singer/songwriter and Super Furry Animals frontman Gruff Rhys. Blending various elements of electronica and pop, the group released its debut album, Stainless Style, in 2008. The LP, a concept album of sorts about the life and times of auto maker John DeLorean, garnered praise from several critics and it even earned a nomination for the prestigious Mercury Music Prize. Though Rhys cast doubt on the future of the group after Stainless Style was released, saying, "I don't know about making another Neon Neon album because it was quite a specific record about DeLorean's life story. If we did something in the future it would have to be something different," the duo returned in 2013 with the album, Praxis Makes Perfect, based on the life of Italian left wing politician Giangiacomo Feltrinelli.
