Paco de María was born in Mexico City and has lived since childhood in Obregón with family. As a child, he started singing songs that were influenced by his grandfather, a music professor who also taught Yuri, José José, and Emmanuel, among others. Paco used to spend long seasons at his grandfather’s place in Mexico City.
