La Barranca is an indie rock band based in Mexico City formed in 1995 that's led by guitarist and songwriter José Manuel Aguilera and bassist Federico Fong. Influenced by King Crimson and Radiohead, La Barranca recorded its first album, El Fuego de la Noche in 1996. The band gained recognition and was able to tour Mexico and the U.S.
