John Frusciante

California-raised John Frusciante is probably best known as the on-again off-again guitarist for the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Not many realize he's an accomplished solo singer/songwriter as well. Frusciante's avant-garde style is highly experimental and showcases his adeptness with guitar. The musician's guitar style tends to favor melody over virtuosity - highlighting subtle arrangements instead of flashy guitar playing. Surving after being deemed clinically dead due to an overdose, Frusciante began to change his lifestyle and explore his spirituality and his solo albums reflect this personal journey.
