Oh Mercy

Oh Mercy is an Australia-based pop rock project that aims to
create music in the timeless mold of classic 1970s-era singer/songwriters. The
band's 2011 album, Great Barrier Grief, captures
the sound of a group entirely comfortable in its own skin--which in this case
is stripped-down but efficiently arranged acoustic folk and pop. The songs are
brief, fun and unpretentious, which has helped to group standout in today's
crowded indie pop scene. Aside from its ever-increasing fan base in Australia,
Oh Mercy has started to win over international audiences thanks to procuring
coveted slots at prestigious showcases such as South by Southwest.
