Italian singer Noemi was born in Rome as Veronica Scopelliti. A participant in the second season of X Factor in 2008, Noemi was eliminated in the 12th episode but is among the few contestants to make it in the music business. She debuted her first single, Briciole, during the semi-finals of X Factor, and the single went on to peak at number two on the Federation of the Italian Music Industry chart as a 2009 summer hit. During the same year, Sony Music produced her first self-titled EP, which has sold over 50 thousand copies worldwide. In the fall of 2009, Noemi released Sulla Mia Pelle, her first full length album, which she followed with a tour throughout Italy. Noemi's 2011 studio album, RossoNoemi, highlights her distinguishable voice that is, at once, commanding and relaxing.
