The sounds that Los Angeles-based collective Foot Village creates are difficult to classify by the standard definition of music. Comprised of several drummers, who create a tribal-esque style of rhythmic propulsion, Foot Village crafts extremely noisy songs--oftentimes accompanied by a singer shouting through a loud speaker--that are void of any discernible choruses or listener-friendly hooks. The clamorous sonic discharge the group creates might be difficult for some to listen to, but others are able to find rewarding elements in the amalgamation of cacophonous clamor the members of the group create.
