Steve Gunn

Steve Gunn is a singer/songwriter and guitarist from Brooklyn who introduced himself as a solo artist with is 2008 debut album, Sundowner. While he is known for his tenure with Kurt Vile's backing band, The Violators, he has also cultivated friendships and collaborations with artists such as Meg Baird and Michael Chapmam. In addition to his solo material, Gunn continues to push the boundaries of contemporary guitar-driven music as one-half of an instrumental duo and the leader of a trio, which includes his long-time friends John Truscinski and Justin Tripp.
