Ricky Gervais

Ricky Gervais is an English comedian, actor, director, producer, writer and broadcaster who is best known for his UK television series The Office, which he co-wrote, co-directed, and starred in. After getting his start in stand-up in the early 1990s, Gervais spent the better portion of the 2000s headlining comedy festivals such as Edinburgh Festival Fringe and the New York Comedy Festival. He has won seven BAFTA Awards, four British Comedy Awards, three Golden Globes, two Emmys and the 2006 Roe d'Or, among other honors.
