Written by playwright John Graham Davies, Beating Berlusconi is based on the true story of Liverpool fan Mark Radley, who found himself sitting next to Silvio Berlusconi at the Attaturk stadium. As the two got into a heated argument, Radley is taken away by Turkish security guards. To his delight, he is mistaken for a VIP and taken to the Liverpool VIP area. The play explores a man's rediscovery of himself, his club, his city, and his class.
