Mr. Lif

Mr. Lif is the stage name for Jeffrey Haynes, a hip-hop artist from Boston whose unique style of hip-hop takes a progressive turn and often tackles several political and intellectual themes rarely found in the genre. Since getting his start with the release of his first single Elektro in 1998, Mr. Lif spent the following few years releasing several acclaimed singles that earned the young artist a Kahlua Boston Music Award for "Outstanding Rap/Hip-Hop Act" in 2001. Since then, Mr. Lif has led a very comfortable career as a musician and has done much to advance the cause of underground hip-hop in the Boston area.
